Research and Development
In a fast growing time people have little time to spare to take care of their health needs and as such wish to have quick relief in the shortest possible time. The traditional system of medicine which from age old traditions are not only popular amongst the common man in India and is also being practiced as a way of life, but it has not been able to reach the people in a scientific manner to prove its authenticity. The traditional system of medicine including Naturopathy and Yoga are well known established systems but a continued Research is still required for its authenticity, especially in certain modern time diseases which become chronic over a period of time like diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, skin diseases, allergies, obesity etc.
It is in the above contest that Bapu Nature Cure Hospital and Yogashram which started as a treatment centre through the application of Naturopathy and Yoga on various diseases has recently ventured into the Research and Development activities also by setting up a R & D division at the hospital which has also now assumed the status of an Institute with other activities like teaching, training, and to spread awareness by organizing workshops, seminars, camps about the efficacy of Naturopathy and Yoga systems.
Currently R & D division of the Institute is conducting a Research study on Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India Project entitled “Efficacy of Naturopathy in improving Glucose tolerance and Insulin Sensitivity in Patients of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus” another Project entitled “Health care of elderly people through Science & Technology intervention of Naturopathy & Yoga” has also been technically cleared by Department of Science and Technology. There are also a few more Projects on Pain management in senior citizens with Osteoarthritis and Hypothyroidism in the pipeline requiring clearance by ICMR and Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India respectively.
The R & D division has its own Pathological lab with qualified technician and also has number of publications ammoniating current Project activities which have been published in different journals namely Biochemical Cellular Archive, International Journal of Physical Education, Indian Journal of Pathology : Research and Practices etc.
