An awareness session On Naturopathy , Ayurveda And Yoga was held at KRISHAK BHARATI COOPERATIVE LIMITED on 7th July, 2015 at their CORPORATE OFFICE, KRIBHCO Bhawan, Sector – 1, Noida from 3.30 PM onwards hosted by Bapu Nature cure hospital and Yogashram .

In this workshop , Bapu Nature Cure Hospital And Yogashram told the participants the benefits of yoga ,Ayurveda and Naturopathy.

Bapu Nature Cure Hospital and Yogashram team started session By giving a brief knowledge about Naturopathy and their methods .

Naturopathy is a form of treatment of diseases through elements of nature. Nature is made of five elements – Jal ( water), Vayu (air), Agni (fire), Akash ( sky) and Prithvi ( Earth). These elements also constitute our body. We get sick when there is imbalance in these elements and body just reacts to this imbalance by trying to get rid of impurities in form of cough, vomiting, fever etc. Therefore, it is beneficial to cure diseases not through drugs or surgery, but with help of these five elements of nature. Naturopathy says that our bodily functions are guided by nature’s vital forces, therefore a holistic approach must be followed for curing ailments. Body has natural tendency to heal and Naturopathy only facilitates the process of healing through energy of nature.

Methods followed in treatment through Naturopathy vary with the kind of school, preferences and skills of Naturopathy. Below are few popular techniques which have benefited millions of people across the globe.

Mud therapy: Mud therapy is done with mud pack and mud bath. It is useful in curing skin conditions such as boils, pimples and patches, and is also effective in improving digestion. Mud absorbs toxins from the body, relaxes the body and reduces swelling.

Water Therapy: Water is one of the most important elements of human body. Water therapy utilizes water in cold and hot state for application on the body. Water is also utilized in bathing/body packs, drinking water therapy and enema

Acupressure: Human body has approximately 1000 acupressure points of which 90-100 are very useful in curing common ailments. Acupressure therapy could cure many conditions and help in maintaining a good health. It is useful in improving digestive system,heart, eyes and strengthening joints

Massage Therapy: This therapy is useful in improving blood circulation, toning muscles and relieving fatigue. It also helps in opening up clogged pores of the skin which is essential for letting harmful toxins go from the body with sweat.

Air Therapy: Oxygen from green plants of nature is very beneficial for human body. Therefore walk in fresh air is essential for overall wellbeing. This must be combined with the right way of breathing.

Color Therapy: There exists a balance of colors in human body. When we fall sick this balance is disturbed. Color therapy is helpful in reestablishing the balance of colors in human body and curing the disorder.

Besides, Yoga, Juice therapy,Diet, Fasting, Mudra therapy and Pyramid therapy are also very popular. Naturopathy is a way of life which is close to environment and methods that are followed in Naturopathy brings one close to the elements of nature. It strives to balance different elements of human body on a physical and spiritual level to attain good health. Benefits of Naturopathy could only be understood by adopting it under supervision of a trained practitioner.

In next phase ,BNCHY Team told the participants about ayurveda and ayurveda treatments for better health ,mind and soul.

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term, made up of the words “ayus” and “veda.” “Ayus” means life and “Veda” means knowledge or science. The term “ayurveda” thus means ‘the knowledge of life’ or ‘the science of life’.

Ayurveda can be defined as a medicine, which uses the inherent principles of nature, to make better life with good health in a person by keeping the individual’s body, mind and spirit in perfect equilibrium with nature.

Ayurveda is based on the premise that the universe is made up of five elements: air, fire, water, earth and ether. These elements are represented in humans by three “doshas”, or energies: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

When any of the doshas accumulate in the body beyond the desirable limit, the body loses its balance. Every individual has a distinct balance, and our health and well-being depend on getting a right balance of the three doshas (“tridoshas”). Ayurveda suggests specific lifestyle and nutritional guidelines to help individuals reduce the excess dosha

Basics Yoga Asanas

Yoga breathing which is known as pranayama yoga is the first step toward re-orienting and improving the functioning of your mind and body by learning to optimise the breathing process. The Yogis were the first to discover the importance of oxygen and breath control and devised an exact science of breathing. They called it PRANA-YAMA, from the Sanskrit word prana meaning breath, and yama, its control or cessation. Pranayama includes following correct breathing technique and breath control.

Side stretch:
Stand straight with your feet joined together. Interlock your hands or simply join them together and stretch them towards the sky. Keep your body posture, legs and hands straight. Now breathe properly and stretch your hands to the right hand side. Try turning towards the right side as much as you can. Do the same on the left side as well. Repeat 20 times on each side. Relax

Arm swing: 
Stand in a straight position. Now put your right leg forward in a 45 degree angle. Try to bend a little forward. Now try moving your right hand in circles. This gives a good massage to your arms and shoulders. Repeat the same on the left hand side as well. Repeat 10 times and release.

Forward bend:
Stand straight with your feet joined together. Here you just have to bend forward from your waist and try to touch your toes with your fingers. Remember, here you do not have to bend your knees. Try bending forward as much as you can. Do not pressurize your body. Repeat 20 times and then release.

Sit on the floor in a cross-legged position. Now fold your right knee and place it under your thigh. Do the same with the left leg. Place your palms on both the knees. Keep your head straight and look in the front direction.

Yoga is done with enthusiasm by the employees that keeps them keeps cool, calm and composed throughout the day. This training undertaken by the employees was a great opportunity for them to learn the correct techniques of yoga practices. The session was enjoyed by all.The workshop ended with a group photograph ,relaxation and Om Chanting .
